High Definition LCDTV question?
Hello, I have a Toshiba 32 inch LCD TV with an HDMI port on the rear panel. Is my TV 1080p LCD HDTV already? Can I say that once the LCD has an HDMI port, it is already 1080p HDTV? I was wrong because there are 1080P LCD TV with stickers in front while others have not, but the two LCD TVs have an HDMI port. 2. What is the source necessary to get the 1080p? Is it as a DVD release? 3. If I watch analogue of the antenna, is the most active 1080p? Is it only applicable on DVD to watch? Thank you thank you
Hi-definition is different from HDMI. HD source is from a broadcast network transmitting a high definition TV signals. It can also be emitted by any electronic device that has the ability to send a signal HD. The antenna is only a means of transmission, if the signal is HD it is already active and if you have an HDTV, then your television can receive. It is applicable to all electronic device that can transmit and receive HD signal, but the TV is only able to show in its Resolution screen. High definition television (or HDTV) refers to video with a resolution much higher than traditional television systems (standard-definition TV or SDTV or SD). HDTV has one or two million pixels per frame, or about five times that of SD.
