Cradle Mount

Where can I buy a telescope without a mount and a tripod?

I have a good tripod and mount, but I want to upgrade from a 4 "to 6" reflector, it will need a new tube and the cradle. Which mail provider in the United Kingdom sell these on their own if you like, they all seem to sell complete kits, which is annoying if you already have a tripod mount. my 4 "reflector is a very good model Meade

What you want is called the "tube and optics," which is a term most often applied glasses, but applies equally to all … refractors, reflectors, and catadioptric Maksutov such drawings and TBS. Jumping 4 "to 6" is certainly worth it. This is not a small jump as suggested above, but a decent upgrade that will give much more opportunities for your observing nights …. haha, love that one. The problem is likely to be the frame. A 6 " heavier and larger than 4 "and requires a sturdy mount lot. If you have something comparable to Eq2 then a 6" will be too much for her. Even a Eq3 or equivalent will be taken and you will not enjoy your sessions almost as much as 4 "and you very disappointed. Even a slight breeze can give you big problems with a holder that is too small for the telescope. EQ5 or an equivalent is the smallest I would recommend for a 6 "telescope. I use a CG-5, Celestron equivalent to the EQ5 for a 6 "telescope, which is OK on calm nights, but even with a fairly moderate wind, I can not use high power with it. The telescope has a long tube and is relatively heavy. http://www.astronomyboy.com/cg5/. . . . You can buy the tube rings in the warehouse Express or other outlets, and dovetail heavy rails to accommodate the range to your frame, assuming he has a connection Dovetail standard. Otherwise, just buy the 2 races of the tube and make a stand for the screws on so you can be on your mount, using aluminum or hardwood such as teak or oak. My 8 "Newton has a simple support homemade … only 20" bar varnished teak and 2×1, and drilled for 1 / 4 Whitworth bolts "to the tube rings and fit on the head of the brand Fullerscopes 3 mount with motor drive purchased very cheap from a guy who was actually a 10 "on it … instead pushing for stability, but assembly can handle a lot of weight size. I'm always looking for a brand Fullerscopes 4 for her. Both are presented together here … Scroll to peak for just http://fullerscopes.blogspot.com/ pictures under the Moon. . . . Warehouse Express is reliable and is one of the outlets for the cheapest telescopes and accessories in the United Kingdom. I have several purchases from them without any problems. 6 rings hit "http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-sky-watcher-150mm-tube-ring-set/p10714 are here…. Here are the accessories page. Look under "Media" for rings and brackets http://www.warehouseexpress.com/category/categorynav.aspx?cat02=2021 telescopes here http://www.warehouseexpress.com/category/basecategory.aspx?cat03=3013. . . . New optical link to some excellent UK Orion telescopes and a reliable company with a well reputation for quality. Orion Telescopes American society is not linked and is a popular outlet for telescopes and twins in the United States http://www.orionoptics.co.uk/ link … second. . . . http://www.telescope.com/control/main/. . . . . Successive home telescope Broadhurst Clarkson & Fuller in which the company has used Britain's largest telescope, quality manufacturing equipment for amateur astronomers and profressional … since 1785. Although it is still a manufacturing base for small accessories that do not resemble the old company, which was the watchword for supplies in the UK astronomical for many generations. http://www.telescopehouse.com/. . . . . The Widescreen Centre is well worth a visit if you're close to London. Visitors are welcome for a chat and a browse, and the staff is excellent. There is a couple of minutes walk from the Baker Street underground station and can be highly recommended. Do not let the name put you off. He is a respected and well known part of the scene telescope the United Kingdom and is photographic and display service is used by photographers profressional and organizers of the exhibition. He built a good reputation profressionals among both amateurs and photographic work and exhition, and astronomy. http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/. . . . In the north of Stockport Binocular and Telescope Center is very good and worth a visit. I dealt with them a couple of times and I am very happy with them. A cute (in Russian "built like a battleship sense) 2 1 / 2 "reflector Tal purchased from Stockport for a song and came on a very solid mounting platform is a jewel in my front room and is surprisingly good perspective that all equipment is Tal. The Tal-2 6 "reflector is probably the best value for money available anywhere and is optically superb considering the cost. Even the packaging is miles ahead of competitors. Tal comes in a solid and well made wooden box. My Tal-1 is more than twenty years and as new. So is the wooden box. Tal comment .. the first is a few years old, but nothing has changed. Tal telescopes are consistently ranked among the best available for the money and more expensive telescopes outperform both opticlly and mechanically. http://irwincur.tripod.com/new_page_1.htm. . http://www.telescopes.ru/product.html?cat=1&prod=8. . . . Stockport Binocular and Telescope Centre http://www.telescopes-binoculars.co.uk/ In February of each year Astronomy Now magazine has an impressive exhibition of Kensington High Street with a large assortment of companies showing telescopes, accessories and astro-related. Astronomical paradise for three days with a comprehensive conference program together. It is worth the trip to London to attend for anyone with more than an interest passenger for astronomy. Here is the one held last February, with a video tour http://www.astronomynow.com/european_astrofest_2009_blog/ . . . . . Next year is here, looking a bit dark yet, but the event grows each year so no worries. http://www.astronomynow.com/astrofest/. . . Good night, dark skies. Without the possibility of clouds … still fat! It's blowing a hooley where I am and lashing down. few hours later, crushing. On a blank Pyrex glass of optical Orion. It could be a telescope in a year or two. Or six months if the weather is bad. More nights in that time. EDIT …………… ……… You may have problems putting a 6 "on the mountain suppplied with your Meade. You'll probably need a heavier counterweight or smaller to add to the existing installation will be overloaded and unstable. Meade is a good company that sells telescopes good, but even they are not going to offer a 4 "reflector with a suitable mount for a 6". They have their profit margins to look like any business. Unless you specified an upgrade of the telescope mount you'd better keep the 4 "on his horse and find a heavier mount for 6", or make one. Media are not difficult to perform and can cost nothing in the materials if you look around heavy timber in good tippers and may amend the articles thrown out of the tip. Push along lawn mowers are favorite sources of gears and bearings for example. One of my early knowledge of astronomy was a 12 "homemade telescope in an iron tube on a solid mounting where the polar axis is a set Ford V8 engine with the valves and stems removed, sunk in a half-ton of concrete. The steering wheel has a declination axis welded. It was a gear motor bike with a 600cc Honda engine 125 for a counterweight. He said he was the "engineering" mount it had ever done, haha. Telescope facilities can be a source of humor extreme imagination and lateral thinking involved in their design and construction. Thus, the telescopes can themselves. Scroll right down to a good http://starizona.com/acb/basics/equip_telescopes_other.aspx laugh. . . . . This mount for an 8 "is a similar design to the Palomar 200" and may be made up from scrap for nothing http://www.bbastrodesigns.com/8inch.jpg
