When and who first GPS in the U.S.?
Having a very intense discussion about who is first out with the GPS and what year. I Delorme Earthmate had one for a laptop in 1995 and I think it was the first. My friend said that Garmin had initially. I think Garmin may have had the first GPS that does not require a laptop. Does anyone know the first year and what?
in fact it was around 1988 SONY it was very slow – series receivers. no output port. and everything between Earthmate Garmin, Garmin GPS was the first commercial about a year (about 1993).
