I need help with my eTrex Vista C "?

Im a delay techno. I just want to ride a bike and said how many miles I am mounted, then reset it. Ive read the instructions and can not understand. It should be easy, but I can not understand. Mr. Frustrated

The right upper button changes between screens. The bottom left opens the menu screen. Stick click the button on the face of GPS. You can press the scroll wheel and a 4-way button to select items. Go to the travel screen, it will have an array of boxes with numbers. One of these numbers should tell odometer. Press the Menu button and choose reset and you can choose which items to reset. If the trip meter is not listed or you want a different selection of the data listed, press the Menu button and choose Change field data. You then use the stick click to move the cell highlight and press the click stick. You then get a list of items you can put in the field. If you want your distances with the card, go to map screen and press the Menu key. This will give you the option having data fields above the map. Once you have selected the data fields, you can return to the menu and change what is displayed in them.
