How can I connect an external microphone for Sony Handycam HDRSR10E?
We recently purchased a Sony Handycam HDRSR10E which is very impressive but it does not seem to have a jack for external microphone and there is no mention if it in the instructions. It seems crazy that it is trading at its but the sound quality is bad because of the micro internal waste. Any ideas? We have now discovered that the shotgun microphones and wireless microphone bluetooth'-type can be attached to the claw on top of the unit. You can also attach a light to the claw, but not, I suppose, in the same time as a microphone!
The Sony SR10 has no microphone input, you can not connect a microphone directly to her. However, if you really want take the extra time to get quality sound productrion true, you could buy a digital audio recorder and record the sound separately. Most audio recorder microphone inputs that are either the consumer as 1 / 8 "stereo mini-XLR or even professional quality. This will allow you to connect an external microphone, either a shotgun, LAV, or handheld microphone. The only problem with the audio and video is independently you will need to synchronize producton post. That's what most film productions do, they are usually not recorded sound in the unit. They save on chalkboards and use audio recorder (shingles) to sync video and audio post. However, the Route digital audio recorder may not be practical in all situations. For example, it may not be practical to have to synchronize audio and video for each home video you made, but it is a good option when shooting short films, documentaries, and lots of video productions. It can also not be a good idea if you have a bad editing program. It is easy when the program has multiple audio tracks, but some, like Windows Movie Maker gives you 2 audio tracks, if you use one for audio in the camera and 1 for synchronous sound, you do not have room for music or sound effects.
