Gps Hrm
2010

ipod, Polar, Garmin, etc. .. what is the best racer for beginners?
Started running about 3 months to try to loose 8 pounds. Like running outdoors / jogging. Garmin Forerunner seems fancy, but you if the GPS is required. The Timex watch is too slient sometimes can not hear the beep for interval training. I do not strape HRM. But I heard strapeless HRM is not exact. Ipod is great partner, but do not HRM. You do not do many things during the race. Suggestions?
The iPod Nano is great for the race. There nothing wrong to run with music, and it's great because it can give you more motivation. You can also use it with the Nike + iPod that has a lot good characteristics. It can give you your miles apart and I think you can sync your time to your computer. I do not think you should run any of the hard drive based MP3 players (like iPod video), not only because they are larger, but the execution could damage the hard drive and other components. I never used the Garmin, but I do not think they are for your money. They are bulky, and if you want know the distance a certain course, you can just go on America's website USATF running routes on the map all over the United States. It is very precise, and is powered by Google Maps. In addition, if you plan to run an MP3 player make sure you do not use headphones, because you'll see that they will start dragging your ears when you start to sweat. You can get a helmet light at any electronics store. I recommend you visit your local Apple Store.
