Should I leave my GPS mount on the window?
I just bought a new GPS. I'm afraid to leave the GPS suction cup mount on the window, as it might encourage someone to break the window and look for the GPS. Sure, GPS is not on the mountain its wide and locked in my glove box. But the mountain is still there. Should I remove it? It's like a pain to remove, but I do not want a broken window. Am I paranoid? Or is it a big enough concern to put on and take off whenever I use it? Sincerely, The neighborhood I live is poor, with (in my opinion) slightly above the rate of crime than the average. And I park next to my building exposed in the street.
No, you should remove it. In my experience, leaving it on is asking for trouble. It might be a pain, but how much pain would it be to get your window fixed? Much more. An extra tip. If bit suction cup leaves a trace on the windshield, make sure you rub too broad. It has been known for people to go in search of that mark on the windshield. Do not give them an excuse.
