What electronics do I need for a boat of RC?
I built a wooden sailboat, but I want to rig a rudder and an engine … just in case there is no wind … and if i can manage. I know I need a servo motor and waterproof water, but I do not know what kind or what I need to connect all if they work. I also do not know what type of receiver obtain. I would appreciate any suggestions or sites that explain it all, thank you. thank you for the futaba site, but it does not seem like they have any electronic tight
You must be an area in which the boat is water proof for receiver power, etc., to go. There resistant servos to water, but I mounted everything in the area waterproof and use a wire push / pull rods through boots – you can buy the hobby store. The point is not to make a box that can sit 15 feet below the surface, but spill-resistant and sufficient for immersion possible surface if the boat turtle itself. You should always have sufficient buoyancy to keep the floating model completely submerged. Any good brand of gear RC is fine, Sanwa, JR, Futaba, Multiplex, etc. – a simple Sanwa Dash 2 channels are working properly and is very cheap. I only use rechargeable batteries, but cells work dry for a while. For propulsion, you can install an electric outboard motor small hobby that turns when down and turns off when lifted. If you want to control your sails, and operate a motor, then a 2-channel unit will not be enough – costs increase significantly when four channels RC systems are at least twice the price of basic units.
