red light?
I just moved into a new apartment. When I plugged in my surge protector. I noticed he had a red light under the words (the ground fault of the building) and a second fire that was green informing me that the land is protected. What red light? Should I worry?
Yes, you should worry. The red light means you have no land. Without any reason that the surge can not work properly and is not to protect your equipment. The green light could simply say that the voltage is within the proper range. Try other outlets in your apartment. See if this all points of sale or a few. Anyway, I would say the building manager about it. This could be a safety issue.
