Is a GPS receiver report the position of the receiver chip, or the position of the antenna?
If a GPS receiver is connected to a remote antenna, the position reported at the receiver site or location of the antenna distance?
The GPS calculates the position based on the information encoded in radio signals received from satellites in orbit. Because radio signals are received by the antenna, the antenna position is what is reported by the GPS.
