What Is A Spy Camera And What Can You Use Them For?
Spy Cameras are very popular today and sales for spy cameras in the USA are up 141% for this year alone. But what really is a spy camera?
First a spy camera goes by many names such as; spy cam, hidden camera, surveillance camera, covert surveillance, nanny cam and many more. They all do pretty much the same job, it is just a matter of whom and in what situation that it is being used for that determines which name is being used.
Spy cameras are digital video recording devices, sometimes referred to as DVR’s. So that video camera you own to record family events etc…, is the same technology; however the spy cam is generally miniaturized and hidden into an everyday item so it cannot be detected. As an example some of the most common items spy cams are placed into are; alarm clock radios, wall clocks, stuffed animals, pens, plants, air purifiers, hats and ties. As you can see spy cams can be placed in just about anything.
Spy cams are as easy to use as your own video recorder, maybe even easier. First you can purchase these spy cams complete and ready to go. The easiest spy cams to use are the wireless spy cams. Although they cost just a bit more, they are worth it if you don’t want to be bothered with hooking wires up and running cables. Take the alarm clock radio or the SleuthGear Recluse as an example. All you have to do is place them in the area you want to record, turn it on and walk away. These spy cams have motion detection and will only record when there is something to be recorded. When you are ready to preview what has been recorded you simply take out the SD card, just like the one in your digital camera, and put it into your PC to watch. It is really that simple. Spy cams are very useful for home security, business security, checking on a nanny and anything else you can think of. They also have great wireless IP Spy Cams that you can place anywhere in the house, work or your second home. Then when you’re ready, you are able to view them live from any computer in the world.
What can you use spy cams for? Ever wish you could be a fly on the wall to see what is really going on while you are not there? Let’s look at the most common uses for spy cams.
Nanny Cams: Spy cams are great for verifying if you have the right Nanny and if your child is being taking care of the way you expected. Make sure you have a few nanny cams to cover the main rooms where your child and Nanny interact.
Home Security: Spy cams are great for home security as they provide you with video of what is going on in your home while you are not there. Are your teenagers having people in while you are not home? Also great as a home security system to catch burglars or what dog is taking a dump on your yard, or who has been vandalizing your property. Let’s face it spy cams can give you a wealth of information on any you concern you have about what goes on while you are not there.
Business Security: There are many uses for spy cams/hidden cameras in a business. You can place them in an area where you have inventory missing, or by cash registers to see who is taking cash from the till. You can see how the nightshift crew works or not works. Whatever situation in your business where you need know what is going on there is a spy cam built just for that situation.
Catch Cheating Spouses: What is really going on while you are not around. When you suspect that your spouse is cheating on you, spy cams placed in the bed room and in the living room and kitchen should provide you with the truth. There are several excellent spy cams that you can introduce to the home without any suspicion by your spouse. “Hi honey, just bought this great new alarm clock” or the SleuthGear Recluse can be placed all most anywhere and will not be detected. I highly suggest wireless spy cams and there are some that you can also watch live from your computer at work. I certainly hope you do not have a cheating spouse but knowing the truth allows you to move forward with your life.
There are likely just as many uses for spy cams as there are people, all with their own situations of concern that they need to know the answers to. There is no reason today, with all the various spy cameras, that you cannot find the truth. You should always familiarize yourself with State and local laws just to be safe. Remember today’s spy equipment is very easy to use; it is like plug and play. Pricing varies from a couple hundred dollars to $800 dollars and up and you get what you pay for and the truth is priceless.
