How can I get a sucker to work again?
So I have a radar detector and GPS mounting. Since it was so cold this winter they both left stick to my car window, so I put inside for a few days. I tried to get the suckers still wet, and use Windex, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions on how to get them to stick to good again? Thank you
course – the answer lies in the fact that the gasket is leaking. first time, check the cup and make sure that the degradation did not cause cracks or holes. Clean the glass (as you say you've already done) and if (as you say) which makes them wet does not work – try a thin layer of something slightly thicker (eg vasoline) The purpose of making the cup is to improve sealing seal between the cup and glass. Another tactic might be to heat the glass and the cup slightly before pasting … on cooling – air trapped contract and help to keep the vacuum better.
