there time applications for GPS phones?
Are there mobile phone applications out there that the screen-accurate time from a super GPS satellite? My New Nokia 6700 is equipped with an A-GPS and Im trying to make good use of it … thanks
I am not aware of everything and it is probably unnecessary anyway. Most modern cell phones get their time from cellular towers. Phone towers cellular clocks need highly accurate for the GSM network to operate correctly, these days that usually means a GPS. Of course in theory, Local GPS could give you a more precise time that the cell tower. But the processor on the phone to decide when to update the display and the display changes actually probably a greater impact on the accuracy of the clock, it shows that the effect of using a GPS time source that is not integrated into the phone.
