Car Tips – How to Jump Start a Car

If you can not start your car because the battery is flat, then you may be able put it back in the road raising.
What you need:
A set of car jump leads, also known as jumper cables.
A car of friends working.

Using jump leads is pretty simple and safe if you follow these instructions:

STEPS
1. Position both cars close to the jump leads will reach both batteries.

2. Then connect the cable car battery booster in that order;

a. Connect positive (+) of the red cable to the positive (+) on the battery.
b. Connect the other end of the (+) cable red positive terminal (+) positive work on the car.
C. Connect (-) negative cable to the black terminal (-) negative impact on the work car.
d. Connect the other end of – the negative cable () – the negative terminal of the battery died ().

3. You are now ready to start the car engine work. Turn off all electrical work on the car (heat, light, radio, etc.) so that the power of the battery is used to jump start the dead battery. Leave the car of work performed for a minute or two before you try to start the dead. Accelerate the car engine work will produce more power and help break the dead battery.

4. Now try to start the engine battery died Off. If it sounds like it is
start but will not quite go, then rev the car to work a little longer before trying the dead beat
again.

5. When the battery dead has started and is running, remove the jumper cables.
To do so, in order reverse:

a. Disconnect (-) negative black cable from the terminal on the battery.
b. Disconnect (-) negative black cable terminal (-) negative work on the car.
C. Disconnect positive (+) of the red cable to the positive terminal (+) on the car work.
d. Disconnect (+) positive red cable to the positive terminal (+) on the battery.

TIPS

You must leave the car which had autonomy the dead battery (dead) for a while. If you turn the ignition off fairly quickly after starting it then it can not start again because there will not be enough charge in the battery. It might be interesting to take the car for a drive, or driving the car and the house to connect the battery to a battery charger overnight.

Make sure that when you log in and removing the jump leads, they do not touch each other and do not come into contact with moving parts of two engines. Most quality booster cables clamps were covered with plastic so there is less chance of hitting metal parts of parts of the car or engine. It's something to consider when buying your jump leads.

If terminals the battery on both cars are dirty and rusty, then they will need to be cleaned so that the clamps on the jump leads to get a good connection own.

If the dead battery will not start the car after following this procedure, the battery may be inside damaged and defective. It is suggested that you try to replace the battery with a borrowed before you spend money on a again.
