What is IKS?
IKS stands for Internet key sharing. Designed to address the issue of new technology Nagravision 3 encryption it provides decryption keys to an FTA (Free To Air) satellite receiver on the Internet. This "sharing" is done by an external device, also known as dongle.

What's a dongle?

A dongle is essentially a piece equipment that connects to a laptop or desktop. This is a portable device that looks more like a USB flash drive and a connector that translates a port type to another. Here, if you connect it to the back of your serial port, you can connect an Ethernet cable or a wireless connection to your modem or router. Then the receiver connects to the Internet.

The process is as complicated as it sounds?

Although it may seem elaborate and complex, the step by step guide allows you to navigate through the process smoothly. The decryption keys subscribed to a channel are captured by this system, which sends it to the receiver via the Internet. The receiver has the key is able to unlock the channel for the local display.

How do I load the bin on my Viewsat?

The Viewsat V-Link Loader is supplied with guide that teaches you how to load files into it. If you used the previous year Loader 2 program, this should not be a problem. If you are totally new to her, the instruction manual should see you through.

First, plug the dongle in the back of your receiver. Then from the dongle, connect the Ethernet cable to your modem or router. Having done this, you must download and install the loader program.
