Eddie Bravo jiu-jitsu books?
I am looking at two of Eddie Bravos books: Mastering The Rubber Guard and Mastering the Twister. Does any one know which on of them is better. I have seen the Rubber Guard DVD but don’t know much about the Twister. I take no-gi jiu-jitsu now. I am in the Marines and will be going overseas and was looking at bringing one of the books with me and working on some stuff over there with a couple of the other guys going with me. Any information would be great and also if you know any other good instructional books feel free to let me know.
Well, “better” is purely subjective, but my recommendation is for the Rubber Guard book. I find it has better overall utility, while the Twister book is mostly about the Twister itself. It’s a hold that doesn’t present itself too often. From the Rubber Guard, though, you can hit tighter submissions and build your overall guard game.
